The last day of school for students is Thursday, June 27th. On this day we will be hosting our annual awards ceremony starting at 10:30. Awards will be followed by a school-wide picnic K-6 and a grade 7 potluck. Report cards will be handed out at the end of the day or mailed to those students not attending school on June 27th. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and relaxing summer break!

Reconciliation Through Education at OES
Posted on September 22nd, 2017
Onoway Elementary School was pleased to be able to offer the Kairos Blanket Exercise to our Grade 7 students on September 21st, 2017. The Blanket Exercise is an experiential teaching tool for grades 4 – 12 students and adults that will help our students understand the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada, how this relationship has been damaged over the years, and how they can work toward reconciliation. We would like to thank the Aboriginal Liason from Onoway Jr./Sr. High School who partnered to bring this presentation to our students. They have agreed to come back in the spring to provide a similar opportunity for our Grade 5 class!
